Northern Traveller is a 26 foot cold-molded sloop, designed
by Naval Architect Gary Mull, and professionally built by McClelland Yachts,
Kenora Ontario ( http://www.genoabay.net/ ). She sleeps 4 in an elegant interior, and is equipped with
BMW inboard diesel, enclosed marine head with holding tank, state-of-the-art
electronics and sailing hardware, galley with cupboards, sink and propane
stove, a large and comfortable
cockpit, and plenty of stowage for sails and gear. She features a stunning bright-varnished wooden interior and
exterior with a two-tone painted deck. Her hull and deck are WEST (Wood Epoxy
Saturation Technique) with multiple wood layers epoxy-bonded and covered
in clear-epoxied fiberglass, producing a composite, lightweight low-maintenance
hull with strength and water resistance that far exceeds conventional
fibreglass construction. She is a fast and elegant racer-cruiser with
the capacity for extended cruising, racing or day sailing. This boat cost $70,000.00 to build in
1986 and has been meticulously maintained and tastefully upgraded by her
owners. She is currently for sale
because her family is looking for a larger cruising yacht, and is located in
Gimli, Manitoba
