Auroral is a quick and balanced fractionally-rigged sloop, designed by Myron Spaulding, a highly regarded Bay Area designer and sailor.

Built in 1969 by pattern maker Ivan Davies. Hull made of bruynzeel plywood, keel stepped mast and lead keel, solid teak over plywood deck and cabin house sides made of solid teak. Fastened with bronze and monel. Spruce mast, boom and spinnaker pole. Restored bottom and rudder. Sleeping berths for 4 people. Gasoline Grey Marine Model 4-112 engine with low hours. 50 gallon monel fuel tank and 2 monel water tanks. Set of Hood sails which includes: 2 Mains, 2 Genoas and 1 spinnaker. Other equipment included: full set of cushions and 2 Danforth anchors. Draft is 5 feet, 5 inches, and the displacement is 11,500 lbs.
