14' 6' Iain Oughtred designed Whilly boat

SOLD

"Luigi" is derived from traditional Norwegian small craft, this handsome double-ender is a great rowboat and a surprisingly fast daysailer ideal for the bay or nearby lakes.

She is glued lapstrake construction, built in 2005. Okoume marine plywood planking on a Honduras mahogany backbone, fastened with West System epoxy and silicon bronze screws. Thwarts, floors, centerboard, and trim are mahogany and cherry. Mast, gaff and boom are spruce. Includes main sail, rigging, oars and an almost new EZLoader trailer.

I have sailed and rowed her around Alameda for many wonderful years, but now my other wooden boat is taking up all of my "project" time. Hope to find a family that will enjoy her.
Asking $ 2,500.00
