16' 8" Herreshoff Coquina


Custom built Herreshoff  Coquina in 2012 at North Fork Boat Works. The Coquina design Is 16'8" long and has a 5" beam. Herreshoff called the rig a"dandy". It's also been called a Cat Ketch rig. The construction was glued ply with Sitka Spruce spars, Honduras mahogany sheer strake, red cedar decking, teak transom,and African mahogany thwarts. It is completely bronze fastened and the bronze hardware is from J.M Reineck.
Includes a full cover and trailer.
Located in  North Fork, about thirty minutes south of Yosemite.

16 Ft Custom Wooden runabout

16 feet, beam is 7 feet, and the rated capacity is 5 people. Great for exploring or fishing the SF Bay and delta. Built of two layers of red cedar over plywood frames. Planking thickness is just shy of 1/2 inch, and there are two layers of 4 oz. fiberglass on the exterior and bilge is glassed to floorboards. The boat has lights and a bilge pump.  I think the boat weighs about 650 pounds.
Includes battery, oars, trailer, cover and bimini.
The boat was donated to the non-profit Spaulding Wooden Boat Center in Sausalito by its builder, John Tuma.
